Alan ‘Dizzy’ Lynch

Born on January 22, 1954. Passed away October 29, 2024.

It’s hard to find the words to describe the loss we feel at the passing of our
Partner, Dad and Pop, Dizzy.
However, we take peace in knowing that Dad had a positive impact on everyone he crossed paths with.

Dad’s uniquely beautiful personality, his enthusiasm and ability
to inspire was truly one of a kind.

He played the greatest of games, ran an almighty race and touched so many hearts.
Rest easy Diz. We love you.

  1. Dizzy, what an absolute champion. We were all
fortunate people for those that knew you. A wonderful family man , friend comedian and motivator. Thanks for the many running sessions we did over the years and I never trained and raced with any individual that would absolutely give his all and would never question his toughness and commitment. The stories you told were legendary and you could fill many a book. Sincere condolences to
Dizzys family. Thanks for so many great memories mate. Rest easy Dizz.

  2. Rest easy Dizz! He was a huge part of so many fond memories growing up around the Bromley-Lynch household. He had a substantial impact on me, not only on the footy field but personally and towards my family. Forever loved. <3

  3. Dizzy was such a live wire. Always thinking, always moving, always encouraging. He undoubtedly packed 120 years of energy into his 70 years. He knew everyone and, although he had spent time at many clubs, he never, ever forgot where he came from. He was blue and gold through and through. He loved North Shore and achieved a lot at North Shore. A senior best and fairest as a youngster in 1972, after being runner-up in 1971 and winning the reserves best and fairest in 1970, he eventually got his greatest wish to play in a senior premiership at North Shore in 1981. His love for North Shore never diminished no matter how far and wide he travelled. A brilliant “student of the game” North Shore is, and always will be, a better place for having Dizzy as a player, a supporter and an influencer. Go Shories.
    Vale Dizzy.
