I have known Bruce for twenty years this month when he joined me Henry Czerwonka and Bert Deigman forming a band unrehearsed and backing numerous American artists in Mildura 2003 , such was the calibre of the man as a musician. We became great friends sharing not only music but politics and sport of which he always had very strong views.
He was a very giving and generous person , Maureen and Iwill miss him immensely God bless you Bruce and may you Rest in Peace forever.

I met Bruce nine years ago and he changed my life.

Bruce encouraged me to get on stage to sing and play music as a “walkup” at Majella and John Brown’s “shed” in 2014. I was so nervous that first attempt that the next month at my request he stood on stage by my side to give me confidence. That night started the team of “Bruce McKenzie and Steve Rose” which led to over 100+ gigs and countless walkups over the next nine years.

The music, the fun, the many smiles were wonderful but the best part of my friendship with Bruce were the introductions he gave me to his many friends and music mates allowing me to be part of his world of music.

Your music will live on forever Bruce. Thank you for being my friend.
