I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one,
I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done,
I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways,
of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days,
I’d like the tears of those who grieve,
to dry before the sun of happy memories that I leave when life is done.
Sending all my love at this sad time. It was lovely to see Ella when I was in Ballarat in May not knowing it would be the last time I would see her and am so grateful for that time. Thinking of you all, love June, Ella’s Adelaide sister
Aunty Ella has always been a constant in my life – even though it is 60 years since I have lived in Ballarat. She kept in constant touch and through her I have “known” her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and been kept up to date with all the Gilletts! I will miss her and the regular phone calls.
