First trading as Jordan and Tippett Furnishing Undertakers in 1895, we are the longest continually-operating funeral business in the Ballarat region . The business was sold to F.W. Barnes in June of 1913 and the company traded under F.W. Barnes & Son title since the mid-1920s.
Frederick’s son Doug joined the firm and father and son worked together until Frederick died suddenly in 1940. Doug continued on in the business until 1960, when he decided to sell the business to Les Lillingston.
In 1990 Les sold the firm to the Mulqueen family of Bendigo. In 1996 the firm moved from its Sturt Street location to its current location on the corner of Darling Street and Pleasant Street South in Redan.
